70 trillion identities

My performance “70 trillion identities“, shown at ACT Basel and Geneva, forms part of a wider research about how to negotiate in performative ways the mediabillity of immediacy. As my body awareness and perception is going deeper, I need to explore different ways of how to communicate with the audience. In the current version this happens by reading out loud and unrolling a text that I´ve written before on plastic straps.
As I read and unfold the text, often improvising over parts I feel don´t fit the actual setting of space and people, the plastic straps leave a trace of a linear time-line in space whereas at the same time everything happens simultaneously and time is suspended.
