Description
The cycle consists of five motets, whose texts are stanzas from a rare rhymed prayer to the BVM (in fact, a Marian contrafactum of a Christmas hymn by Enea Silvio Piccolomini). Compare the cognate cycle C47b, which contains motets 1-3 and 5 of this cycle.
